Hello Year R,

For your literacy task today we would like you to draw, paint or make 2 opposite dinosaurs, using Dinosaur Roar as your inspiration!
Apologies for the voiceover issues in the video, you might like to mute the sound and ask a grown  up to read you the book again if you need to.

Have fun,

Miss Healy

Tennis Lessons

I am very excited to announce that Ashley Neaves the Head Tennis Coach from ‘The Avenue Tennis Club’ in Havant has created a 6 week course of online tennis lessons for children aged 4 – 11 years old to participate in during the lock down.

Ashley has planned lessons that your child can do inside or outside with minimal equipment. I will upload the Youtube tennis lesson each week to the remote learning website.

I do hope your child will want to take part over the next 6 weeks. Ashley would like some feedback on his lessons so please send any comments to me at pefairfield2021@gmail.com so that I can forward them on.

Best wishes

For literacy today we are going to start thinking about Everyday Heroes by watching a video about The Coastguard and RNLI. We would like you to watch the video in the link below carefully and then tell a grown up what happened in the video in the correct order. You could also collect any 'magpie words', these are new or interesting words that we could use. Have fun!

PE Daily Challenges – Week 2 (18th January – 22nd January 2021)

I hope you enjoy this week’s daily challenges at home. We found last week in school that we adapted some challenges to suit the needs of the children taking part in them. You may wish to reduce the time and distance for some of the challenges and that is absolutely fine.

Please could you continue to send me confirmation that you have taken part in the challenges? All I require is the name of your child, their year group, class name and days they in which they completed the challenges. They can do some or all of the challenges at home.

Hello Year R!

Our new topic is Everyday Heroes and we are beginning by looking at the book 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. Please watch this video of Mrs McRoberts reading the story. Your literacy task for today is to tell a grown up your favourite part of the story and why. If you would like to you can ask a grown up to share a drawing with us on Tapestry or by email.

Maths

This week we are learning about more and less. In the first lesson Mrs Symmons will introduce you to the 5 frame.
