I have two children who attend Fairfield, I believe that a good education and a happy school experience are the most important factors in a child's development. It is important as a parent to support our children's learning environment. I have become a school governor to play an active role in helping the school and fulfil its full potential. I have worked in local government for over 10 years with a strong background in health and safety and can therefore bring a range knowledge and experience which can enhance and support the governing body.

After working in IT and marketing for a decade, I returned to education and studied an Early Childhood degree as well as being level 3 Makaton trained. I hold a keen interest in the theory behind play and how learning through play should be encouraged throughout our educational journeys, including higher and further education! I am currently training on a PGCE to be a primary school teacher which I am thoroughly enjoying! I hope the knowledge I gain can be put to good use for Fairfield's community. I have lived locally all my life and have a family and community connection to the school, I am passionate about making a difference and aiding the school in being the best it can be.

I have only recently joined the Governing Body in May 2022. My background is in Primary Education having been an Admin Officer in a local Infant School in Waterlooville from 2004, until it amalgamated with the attached Junior School in 2008. I have been an Admin Manager at the same school since 2017. Since September 2021 I have also been the Clerk to the Governing Body of the same Primary School.
