Medicines in School

We have trained members of staff within the school who are able to administer medicines to children with parent's permission.

This is both short term medication and medication for children who have on-going medical needs.

If your child is prescribed antibiotics, topical creams or any other medication that needs to be administered during the school day, please ensure that it is in the original packaging and displays the pharmacy label.

If the medication is part of a Health Care Plan please contact the school to discuss your child's requirements as soon as you are aware of the diagnosis.

In the case of Asthma pumps/Epipens, these will be kept in the child's classroom and all medication administered will be recorded.

For minor problems e.g. chapped lips, coughs or rashes all medicines should be given to the Office and have the child's name and class applied.

NO MEDICATION SHOULD BE STORED IN YOUR CHILD'S BAG.
