Owl Class had a fabulous time in the meadow celebrating achieving their 15 gold class merits. They thoroughly enjoyed eating their ice lolly rockets in the sunshine. Then children played lots of parachute games. They thought it was very exciting when they ran under the parachute and swapped places with each other. The ball game was great fun too as the children had to try to stop the ball going down the hole whilst vigorously moving the parachute.
Christmas party game winner!
Thank you all for participating in our “Your time to Shine Day” in school today. The children were so bright and visible! We had some excellent outfits and accessories and were overwhelmed with the amount of thought and effort put in them.
Every child who took part today has received a reflective item to wear or attach to their coats or bags. We had a very difficult decision deciding on a boy and a girl class winner as there were some truly outstanding entries.
Your time to Shine Day Class Winners
Owl Class enjoyed playing lots of parachute games together. Their favourite game was 'Wiggly Snakes'. They were also great at counting 1,2,3 and lifting the parachute at the same time so they could travel underneath it. Owl Class finished their reward time with a drink and some biscuits! October 2023
The Year R children all went to Dell Quay and had an amazing time finding crabs on the seashore then creating homes for them. The children also had the chance to go pond dipping and found lots of water snails and water beetles. They were great mini beast hunters and found a newt, lots of spiders and a stag beetle larva.
This week, the children have been learning about the importance of water. Part of this included learning how water is used as part of a Christian baptism. We made the experience completely immersive by naming a baby doll, writing invitations to guests, preparing the food and cake and wrapping gifts. Then, we all gathered together to re-enacted a Baptism ceremony for 'Baby Evie.' - May 2023
