  • BEEP BEEP Road Safety Day—Wednesday 26th April

    Thu 27 Apr 2023

We held a BEEP BEEP Road Safety Day on Wednesday 26th April, starting with a whole school assembly and then   lessons in class. We focused on 3 main areas

    · Holding hands with a grown up when walking near roads

    · Crossing roads at safe places with a grown up

    · Using a child seat when travelling by car.

Children came home with a postcard pledge about holding hands when walking near roads. We hope they have shared what they learnt throughout the day and you can reinforce the safety messages at home.  We also sent out details to parents of their day via Parentmail on the same date.

Road Safety does not stop here,  We NEED your help to keep your child safe and use the roads around the school safely and considerately.

Please try and chose an active form of travel and if this is not possible use on our Park and Stride car parks and not the residential roads around the school.  Thank you

  • BEEP BEEP Road Safety Day - Wednesday 26th April

    Fri 21 Apr 2023

It's not nice to hear, but every day children are killed or very seriously injured on roads. Road safety is the perfect topic for activities that can really engage, protect and benefit young children. We will be holding assemblies and lessons in class on Wednesday 26th April, specifically focusing on Road Safety and we hope your child will speak to you about what they have learnt...

Beep Beep! Days focus on three important road safety topics:

Holding hands with a grown up when walking near roads

Crossing roads at safe places with a grown up

Using a child seat when travelling by car.

But, this doesn’t stop here, We NEED your help!

Please promote road safety with your child and lead by example. We need you to help us in keeping the roads around our school safer. This can be helped by choosing an active form of travel to and from school daily: e.g. walking, scooting or cycling.

If this is not a viable option for you, please consider using one of our Park and Stride Car Parks which are free to use for drop off and collection at Fairfield at the following locations:

Bulbeck Road (West Street) Car Park, Prince Georges Street Car Park, East Pallant Car Park and Town End House Car Park. These car parks are available FREE to Fairfield parents/carers between 8.20am to 9.00am (for morning school run) and 2.50pm to 4pm (for afternoon collection).
