Foxes

Welcome to Foxes!

Our class teacher is Miss Lamsdale and our teaching assistants are Mrs Williams and Mrs Hancock.

Our topic for this half term is Life On Earth. We are really looking forward to our trip to Marwell Zoo where we will be learning about animals and their habitats. We will also be visited by Zoolab and all their amazing animals!

In Art, we have been looking at sculptures created by Andy Goldsworthy. We will be using natural materials to create our own artwork in the meadow and photographing it just like Andy Goldsworthy does with his.

On World Book Day, we all dressed up as our favourite book character and created our own story book about The Day The Crayons Quit. As well as this, each class has designed and decorated a book door. Foxes' door is decorated with animals from the You Can't Take An Elephant On The Bus book. Woodpeckers' door is about Farewell To Shady Glade and Moles' door is decorated with characters and vehicles from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again.

Our topic for the first half of spring term was Time Travellers. We discovered some Victorian artefacts in the meadow and made our own time capsules to look back at when we are older! We hope you enjoyed reading them at home.

We really enjoyed performing our class assembly to the school and parents before Christmas. We hope you enjoyed learning all about the history of the motorcar.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their generous Christmas gifts. We were all thoroughly spoilt, thank you! - Miss Lamsdale, Mrs Hancock and Mrs Williams
