Janna Anderson - Parent Governor I am a mother of two boys, one of whom is old enough to attend Fairfield Infant School. I joined the governing body as a Parent Governor in December 2019. I have always wanted to join a school governing body and to be able to do this at my son’s school is a privilege. I am particularly focused on safeguarding as a Governor, having previously had experience of this in an education environment. As well as being a mother, I am a Special Educational Needs Teacher in Further Education, with a particular interest in supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have worked in Further Education for 10 years but trained in Primary Education and continue to be passionate about the power of education for all. I believe every child should be proud of their unique skills and interests, and that being a confident learner contributes powerfully to achieving this sense of pride. I am committed to supporting staff, parents and children in achieving this. |
