Our Governors

Mrs Gill Tonkin  - Chair of Governors
I am both a parent and grandparent, with a keen interest in education. I have previous experience as a lecturer in Business Administration and IT, and currently work for a high street bank, in customer service and management role, and am qualified as a Personal Banker. I joined the governing body in September 2017, I have a strong interest in supporting my local community and utilising my life experiences to assist the school in developing a strong learning environment.

Mr Mike Smith - Vice Chair, Parent Governor

I have two children who attend Fairfield, I believe that a good education and a happy school experience are the most important factors in a child's development. It is important as a parent to support our children's learning environment. I have become a school governor to play an active role in helping the school and fulfil its full potential. I have worked in local government for over 10 years with a strong background in health and safety and can therefore bring a range knowledge and experience which can enhance and support the governing body.

Mrs Joanne Littlechild - Term ends November 2019

I joined the Governing Body in November 2016 as a parent governor. As well as having had a child at the school, I also met the communications skills shortage the Governing Body were recruiting for at that time. I bring a wealth of skills, knowledge and almost 20 years experience in marketing and communications. Since becoming a governor, I  took on the role of Chair of the Standards Committee, and look forward to working with the school to deliver its strategic plan
